Eriobotrya japonica
An early-ripening Japanese loquat with delicious, golden-orange fruit. The flesh is juicy, sweet, mildly tangy with flavours of apricot , pineapple and hint of pear , perfect for eating fresh straight off the tree. The tree is small to medium in size (around 3–5 m), evergreen, and makes a beautiful shade or feature tree in the garden. Reliable crops and early harvest make it one of the most popular loquat varieties.
