The Mamey Sapote is a large, oval-shaped fruit with a thick, brown skin and vibrant, salmon-pink flesh. The flesh is creamy and sweet, with a flavour often described as a combination of sweet potato and pumpkin , with a hint of almond, honey and vanilla, This tropical fruit is perfect for eating fresh, blending into smoothies, or using in desserts and ice creams. It is also rich in nutrients, including vitamins A and C.
Fruit can hold onto the tree for months giving a great extending picking season most of the year ,
Tip : scratch the skin with your nail and if it’s orange then it’s ready to be picked , if green it’s not ready yet
